Lately, things have been a little bit overwhelming for me because of the many 15 class units, work, and extracurriculars that I am involved in.
I've always wanted to be able to dedicate sometime to developing myself personally, but recently, I haven't been able to do so as much. It's just been in the mindset of getting things done, but the problem is that I don't quite remember what I did unless I immediately record after completion.
I suppose this is a good thing in certain aspects, but I wanted to be able to reach a point where I could have as much control and little stress as possible. But like I mentioned in the previous post, I don't think it's possible to reach this point of feeling completely secure and having everything together because of much of life is unplanned. Things always come up somehow.
Like today, for example, I was suppose to be able to meet up with my friend to cook and batch our meals, but he ended not wanting to follow through with the meal plans anymore. We said that we wanted to dedicate ourselves to our health, saving time and money. But apparently, things have to change. Not everyone is on board with what I want to do and not everyone wants the same thing as badly.
Sometimes, I like to think that you can achieve the goals you want to accomplish life depending on how much you care and how badly you want it.
However, I've noticed that we humans like to make our own bullshit up. We like to come up with excuses as to why things don't happen. We like to blame others instead of calling out our defense mechanisms. We like to look to our past for answers instead of living in the present and making the most out out our situations. There's so many different things we like to do instead of facing our realities with an open heart.
It's totally understandable why we do these things and it never was meant to be easy. It's our natural reaction to protect ourselves from "possible" dangers, but sometimes we need to open ourselves up to bigger opportunities.
The whole meal planning was just a trivial matter, but was just used to point out how sometimes things just come up. Things don't always go as planned. Going back to one to my most important Life tips, always be willing to learn and go with the flow.
